Independence Roofing With the Proof in Your Hands
We take care of roof repair, roof replacement, storm damage repair, gutters and siding for homeowners in Independence, Florence and Taylor Mill. Before we recommend anything, we sit down with you and go through pictures of your own roof, so the decision is yours and it rests on what is really up there.
How a Roofing Job Unfolds
This is the order things happen in, start to finish, so you always know what comes next.
- 1
A free roof inspection
We pick a time that suits you, then walk the slopes looking at the shingles, the seals around pipes, the ridge and valleys, and your gutters. When there is a way into the attic, we look at the underside of the decking too. The camera comes up the ladder with us.
- 2
A plain answer you can see
We go over the images together. You hear whether repair makes sense or replacement is the smarter spend, and the reasons behind it.
- 3
Written estimate and a date
You get a line-item estimate to look over at your own pace. When you are ready, we set the schedule, order materials and take care of any permit.
- 4
The work day
We protect your yard, do the work and photograph the key stages: bare decking, new underlayment, flashing and the finished roof. Any surprise gets shown to you before we go further.
- 5
Cleanup and a final walk
We sweep for nails, haul off the debris and walk the property with you. The full set of images is yours to keep.
What We Do on Your Home
Roof repair and roof replacement fill most of our days, from one lifted tab to a complete tear-off down to bare decking. We also take on storm damage repair after wind and hail, roof inspections before you buy or sell, gutters sized to move water away from your foundation, and siding that keeps rain out of your walls. Each service has its own page with more detail. No matter which one brings us out, you get images of the before, the middle and the finish.

Roof Replacement
Full tear-off roof replacement with the decking checked, new flashing and underlayment, and a picture record of every stage sent to you.
Roof Repair
We track leaks, wind damage and tired flashing back to their cause, repair only what failed, and show you pictures of the problem and the result.
Roof Inspections
A free, careful look at your shingles, flashing, vents and gutters, with pictures of what we found and an honest answer on what, if anything, needs work.
Storm Damage Repair
After hail or high wind, we check your roof, show you every damaged spot in pictures and repair only what the storm actually hurt.
Gutters
One-piece gutter installs, repairs and downspout fixes, with your fascia and hangers checked and shown to you before we quote and after the work is done.
Siding
Cracked, loose or buckled siding repaired or replaced, with the wall behind it checked so you can see why it failed.

Why Neighbors Call Us First
Nobody can see much of a roof from the driveway, so it is easy to feel unsure about what a roofer tells you. We close that gap by showing you the evidence and letting you judge it.
- Your roof, on the screen in front of you
- After each inspection we sit with you and scroll through the shots: the cracked pipe boot, the popped nails, the worn valley, the soft area beside the chimney. You can judge the problem with your own eyes from the comfort of your couch.
- A repair when a repair will last
- If a handful of shingles and new flashing will buy your roof good years, that is what we suggest. When the decking is spongy or the shingles are brittle across every slope, we say so and point to exactly why.
- Estimates broken into lines
- Your written estimate spells out each part of the job: tear-off, underlayment, flashing, vents, drip edge and disposal. Should the tear-off uncover rot or damage no one could see from above, the work pauses. You see the photos, and we agree on the next move together before adding anything.
- Care for your yard and your home
- Tarps go over flower beds and the air conditioner, the driveway stays clear, and a magnetic sweeper runs across the lawn at the end of each day. Kids and pets can head back outside the same evening.
- A record that stays with you
- When we finish, you keep a full photo set of what went into your roof. It helps with insurance questions, with selling your home later, and with any tradesperson who works up there after us.

A Roofing Company That Shows Its Work
We are a roofing company serving Independence and the surrounding Northern Kentucky area. We began recording every job on camera after hearing the same story again and again: a homeowner had been told they needed a whole new roof and had no way to check whether that was true.
Today it is simply how we operate. The pictures keep us accountable, they let you decide without pressure, and they leave you with a clear account of what sits on top of your home. If a question comes up at any point, we would much rather answer it than leave you guessing. Our About page has more on who we are.

Common Roofing Questions
- Should I repair my roof or replace it?
- That hinges on the age of the shingles, how far the wear has spread and the state of the decking beneath. A few damaged shingles or a split pipe boot are usually repairable. Granule loss over the whole roof, curling edges or soft decking in several places points toward replacement. We show you pictures of what we found so the answer makes sense to you.
- Is the roof inspection really free?
- Yes. We come out, inspect your roof and go over what we saw with you at no charge. You are under no obligation to hire us afterward, and we want you to have good information either way.
- What warranty comes with your work?
- Our workmanship is backed by a 10-year labor warranty. We will go over what it covers when we hand you your estimate, so you know where you stand before work begins.
- Can you help with an insurance claim after hail or wind?
- We can inspect the roof, photograph the damage and write up an estimate you can share with your insurance company. We will explain how claims usually go and can be on site when the adjuster visits. The adjuster decides coverage, not us, and we will tell you honestly whether the damage looks like a storm or ordinary aging.
- How long does a roof replacement take?
- Most homes take one to two working days, depending on size, slope and how much decking needs replacing. Weather can shift the start date, and we will keep you informed if it does. Your home is covered and watertight at the end of each day.
- Do I have to stay home during the job?
- You don't have to. Ideally we meet with you when the crew arrives and again when the roof is finished, so you hear the plan and see the result. If the tear-off turns up something new while you are out, you get a phone call and photos, and nothing changes until you say so.
- Do you handle gutters and siding as well?
- Yes. We install and repair gutters and downspouts, and we repair and replace siding. Gutters and roof edges work as a team, so it often makes sense to look at both on the same visit.
What Moves the Price of Roof Work
Two houses side by side can land at very different numbers. The total comes down to what your roof is made of, how it is shaped and what condition the wood underneath is in. These are the things we weigh when we build your estimate.
Every estimate begins with a free roof inspection, then a written breakdown you can read over at your kitchen table. You will know the scope and the price before any work starts.
- Square footage and slope
- A larger roof needs more shingles and more hours. Steep slopes call for extra safety equipment and slower footwork, which adds time.
- The decking underneath
- Rotted or delaminated boards must be replaced before new shingles go down. We often can't tell until tear-off, so your estimate lists a per-sheet price ahead of time, and we show you any bad boards before we swap them.
- Old shingles stacked twice
- Plenty of older houses got a fresh layer nailed straight over the original. Stripping and hauling off two layers takes longer and fills more of the dumpster than a single one.
- The materials you pick
- Architectural shingles, impact-rated shingles and metal each carry a different cost. We explain how each holds up to freeze-thaw winters and spring storms so you can balance price against lifespan.
- Flashing, vents and tricky spots
- Chimneys, skylights, dormers and valleys all need careful flashing. Adding ridge or intake vents so the attic can breathe also changes the total.
- Permits and access
- Where a permit is needed, we pull it and include it. A tight lot, a steep driveway or little room for a dumpster can add some labor.
