Roofing for Independence and the Northern Kentucky Towns Around It

We work on homes in Independence and the towns nearby, from Florence and Erlanger up to Covington and Fort Thomas. Every visit starts with a free roof inspection, and you see photos of what we found on your roof before we suggest any work.

Where Our Crews Work

Independence is home base, so much of our work is close by. We regularly climb roofs in Taylor Mill, Edgewood, Crestview Hills and Lakeside Park, and just as often in Florence, Erlanger and Elsmere. If your street is a short drive from any of these places, give us a ring and we will tell you plainly whether we can get to you.

We also work farther north in Covington, Newport and Fort Thomas, where many houses have steeper roofs and a longer repair history. The town changes, but the visit does not. We inspect the roof, photograph each problem area, then sit down with you and go through the pictures one by one. You decide what happens next, whether that is roof repair, a full roof replacement, gutter work or siding.

What Roofs Deal With Across the Area

  1. 01

A wide range of housing ages

The area mixes older homes in the river cities with newer subdivisions further south. Older roofs often hide more than one layer of shingles, worn chimney flashing or decking that has softened over time. Newer homes tend to have builder-grade shingles that wear out on a predictable schedule. Our photos show which situation you have, so the estimate fits your actual roof.

  2. 02

    Winter freeze and thaw

Snow melts in the afternoon and refreezes overnight at the eaves. That can build ice dams that push water up under shingles and pull gutters away from the fascia. We look closely at eaves, valleys and gutter hangers for this kind of damage.

  3. 03

    Spring and summer storms

Strong winds lift and crease shingles, and hail can bruise them in ways you cannot spot from the yard. We take a close-up and a wider shot of each damaged spot. Those pictures are yours to keep and share with your insurer if you choose to file a claim. We walk you through how claims usually go, though coverage is always the adjuster's decision.

  4. 04

    Heat, humidity and attic airflow

Humid summers bake an attic that does not breathe well, which ages shingles from underneath. In winter, the same poor airflow can leave frost and damp spots on the roof deck. We check vents and the attic side of the roof when we can reach it.

  5. 05

    Permits and HOA rules

Many cities in the area expect a permit before a roof is replaced, and the rules vary from one city to the next. We check what your city requires and pull the permit when one is needed. If your neighborhood has an HOA, we can help you gather shingle color and style details for their approval.

See Your Roof Through Our Photos

Let us know which town you live in and what caught your eye, maybe a ceiling stain or a gutter sagging away from the house. We will pick a time that suits you, check your roof at no cost and go over every picture with you before any work is discussed.
